What does my joint look like?

Whenn you are suffering from hip arthritis, it can be very difficult to imagine what the cause of the problem really looks like. To give you an impression, we compiled a series of images found on the next page. The X-ray image is seen on the right, and the associated femoral head on the left. When you look at the pictures of the bones on the left, it becomes immediately clear that such joints would cause massive pain, and that an artificial hip replacement would be the only good solution.

We do not have images from less damaged joints to show because, in such cases, we have already made every effort and preserved the natural joint.
